The Old-Time musical style, a pre-bluegrass style born in the Appalachian Mountains, is the central focus of the programme presented by Bum Titis, a repertoire that combines their own compositions with traditional American tunes. Bum Titis emerged out of a desire to disseminate the Old-Time musical style, unknown in Catalonia, through concerts, jams and workshops, both in dance and music. The project was born in 2017, fruit of the meeting between Joana Gumí and Ned Somerville, who met during a Bluegrass Jam playing a song in the Old-Time style.
