Reinhold Glière: Eight Pieces for Violin and Cello, Op. 39 /  Zoltán Kodály: Duo for Violin and Cello, Op. 7

The Fediukova-Vidal duo presents a selection of the most iconic pieces for violin and cello. These works stand out for their remarkable difficulty, and demand impeccable synchronisation between the performers. With compositions by leading masters such as Kodály and Glière, the proposal embarks on a journey through the twentieth century that explores various nationalist currents and expresses different characters inherent to countries. Although the violin and cello duo formation may be considered unconventional, this choice allows us to appreciate the singular qualities of each instrument, and provides an enriching and enthralling musical experience. Carlos Vidal was born in Valencia in 2004. He is currently studying cello at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich. Liza Fediukova is a Russian violinist. She studied at the Hochschule Maguncia.
