This concert's programme is inspired by the idea of childhood. Beyond discovering the world through the curious eyes of a child, we find tales that parents tell their children to lull them to sleep, as well as tragic stories about the experience of being a child in times of war. The songs selected evoke the naivety, spontaneity and captivating sincerity of children, depicting the most tender period of life through a vast palette of colours, musical styles and languages. Barcelona-born Mercè Bruguera is the winner of the critics' prize and the special Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya prize in the Primer Palau 2023, has been a semi-finalist in the Concurs Tenor Viñas 2023 and a prize-winner in the Concurs Palet 2021. Bruguera has developed her career especially in the field of oratory, with which she has debuted at different European festivals and venues.
