Jewish Life, Portraits of the Past

Clarinettist Tolo Genestar and pianist Marc Sumsi met while they were studying music at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona, where they both graduated in 2013. After advanced studies at other schools – Tolo at the Conservatoire National in Nice, and Marc at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) – they have come together again to embark on a journey in time which illustrates in music the different social situations the Jewish community has suffered in the course of history. A project which combines classical music and klezmer.
