Llorenç Romera, guitar and singer | Gabriel Abrines, guitar | Ferran Bellver, drums | Leonardo Prieto, bass
This quartet from Majorca won the Joventut (Youth) Prize in 2017 at the Sona 9 Competition organised by the Grup Enderrock. The quartet was founded in late 2013 by the poet Llorenç Romera Pericàs with the motto "bedroom pop & the live word". Following the example of David Bowie, the group offers a wide range of sounds with pop and punk as central elements. With one foot indoors with printed poetry and the other in the street, Salvatge Cor’s music and philosophy aim to create a close relationship between artists and audience, exploring themes such as identity, otherness and the interrelationship between different art forms.
