The harpsichord was the main keyboard instrument during the Baroque period. From the 15th to the mid 18th century it played a predominant role and became the instrument of choice in Europe and the favourite instrument of the courts, with composers writing great works for it. The hegemony of the harpsichord began to decline after 1750 with the appearance of a new instrument that left the Baroque behind: the fortepiano. But in the more than 300 years of history and predominance of the harpsichord many works were composed and Eva del Campo presents in this concert a selection that spans several centuries.
