Guy Salamon Group is one of the leading jazz bands in the Dutch jazz scene. Their leader is the acclaimed drummer, composer and arranger Guy Salamon, whose music is full of surprises, creative stories, lots of energy and humour. In spring 2024, the band has returned to live performances with its third album, Free Hugs, recorded in Girona, which narrates the adventures of the Shmoskers, a group of Egg-X people who try to find their way back home after having lost themselves in an alternative universe. 10 new tracks that combine improvisation and meticulously crafted melodies in a music that transcends the limits between genres and styles.
