A documentary film featuring one of the most fascinating string quartets active today, the French group, Quatuor Ebène. The film follows the daily life of the quartet during a tour round Italy and in concerts in Austria and Germany, showing the musical and human process that takes place backstage – difficulties encountered with the scores, details of performance style, doubts and hesitations, happy moments after performance or away from the concert hall, and also the relationship between the musicians themselves and with their friends and colleagues.
This film won Daniel Kutschinski the prize for the best documentary at the Los Angeles Documentary Film Festival, 2015.
