Combining flamenco piano, jazz and Latin music, Miranda Fernández pays tribute in this programme to all the combative women who perform flamenco. To all those women who overcame the cultural slavery of their time in the face of solitude, discrimination and social coercion. Despite all these problems, flamenco would not be what it is today without them. They gave preference to flamenco in all their thoughts and feelings, to an art that conveys the meaning of life. This concert traces the history of women in flamenco, seen through the eyes of Miranda Fernández, with the desire to do justice to their outstanding role in the world of music. 88-M is the first project she presents and directs, accompanied by great women, great flamenco performers.
