Alexander Scriabin: Sonata No. 3 in F sharp minor “États d’âme”, Op. 23 / Maurice Ravel: Ondine / Manuel de Falla: Fantasía bética

Fire and water, consonance and dissonance, harmony and chaos... If there is one truth that governs music, it is that passion shows itself in many shapes and colours, and even through opposing elements. In this concert, the pianist Laura Ballestrino, winner of the first prize in the 99th (2021) Juventudes Musicales de España Competition in the piano category, gives us the opportunity to experience the duality of passion through a dialogue between contrasting music styles. In our musical journey, we will progress from the drama of Scriabin to the delicacy of Ravel and end with the fiery passion of Falla. Each composer presents his own musical perspective of this emotional duality, producing a sound experience of mixed feelings, interwoven counterpoints, poignant melodies and challenging rhythms.
