The composer and saxophonist Irene Reig is one of the most scintillating representatives of the new Catalan generation of jazz musicians. As leader of her trio, she exudes passion and spontaneity, and offers a brilliant repertoire of original melodies along with versions of bop and hard bop classics impregnated with her unique style. During the concert, they will present their first album, Mira (The Changes, 2021), with eight tracks that combine original compositions with contemporary, personality-rich rearrangements of themes by Duke Ellington and Richards Rodgers.
