The outstanding Belgian vocal and instrumental ensemble Vox Luminis, led by the French bass Lionel Meunier, is performing for the first time at the Torroella Festival with a selection of pieces from Selva morale e spirituale, Claudio Monteverdi’s great anthology of religious music. The collection’s title refers to the almost three decades during which Monteverdi was maestro di cappella at the basilica of Saint Mark in Venice and was published in Venice between 1640 and 1641.
