Taumàtop
Marçal Ramon and Ivó Jordà met in 2010 when they were studying at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) and little by little they developed Criatures, a diatonic accordion and gralla duet which first performed in public in 2013. They have captivated audiences with a fresh, elegant vision of traditional music, which won them the Sons de la Mediterrània prize in 2016. The jury praised their "gift in selecting, renovating and arranging an important, elegant repertory, displaying the concert possibilities of the accordion and gralla and achieving immediate communication and excellent sound quality". Criatures perform a varied repertory, including original themes and traditional music by 19th century and contemporary composers, which they themselves arrange. At the Fringe they will present their first disc, Taumàtop.
