About this event

The Llibre vermell de Montserrat (“Red Book of Montserrat”) constitutes exceptional documentary evidence of Catalan polyphony of the 14th. century. The music will be performed in Torroella by the Ensemble Micrologus, one of the most renowned groups specialising in performance of medieval music. Saint Genís’ Church will be the setting for this exceptional collection of pilgrims’ songs and dances that come together in the treasured manuscript preserved in the library of the Monastery of Montserrat.
