Forma Antiqva's programme is a musical tour through mid-18th century Madrid. This was a time of great musical creativity, influenced significantly by the Italian composers at the Spanish court and in Madrid, but also with appreciation for the autochthonous repertoire. Farándula castiza is a selection of the musical pieces that triumphed in the open-air theatres and the playhouses, in the aristocratic salons and the town squares, the music enjoyed for frivolity and entertainment.

This concert programme has been awarded the Festclásica 2021 seal
