With preparations beginning back in the summer of 2020, the 40th Torroella de Montgrí Festival opens its summer 2021 programme with the mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, one of today's most respected and charismatic voices. A leading exponent of the baroque and classical repertoire, DiDonato will perform at the Torroella Festival with a recital in which she will interpret Haydn's beautiful cantata Arianna a Naxos, three out of five Wesendonck Lieder, and a selection of baroque arias.
