Yungchen Lhamo captivates the public with her singularly beautiful voice and with renderings of great intensity. Her melodies evoke the image of the high snow-capped mountains of her land. She is considered to be a symbol of strength and resolve, a singer who embodies the courage of the Tibetan woman who has had to flee her country crossing the Himalayas in the process.
