Work commissioned for the 25th anniversary of the Torroella de Montgrí Music Festival

The French cellist, Ophélie Gaillard, is one of the most gifted soloists active in Europe today, and the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, which played at the first ever Torroella Festival, has long been a leading influence in Hungarian cultural life. Together, they Will perform two 18th. century cello concertos, after which the orchestra Will charm us with the beauty of the Dvorák Serenade. The concert Will close with the best-known work by the composer from whom the orchestra takes its name.
