The desert of Rajasthan, in northeastern India — lands trodden by emperors and Maharajas with their courts — is also the homeland of the gypsies. Usually Hindus, they perform music and dances based on mythological themes and combine their fascinating performance with juggling, fakirism and snake charming— the Guardians of Spiritual Truth.
