Quintessence

Joan Mar Sauqué studied at the Municipal Music School at Torroella de Montgrí. He is a promising young trumpeter who this summer returns to L'Estartit, where in the 2016 Festival he gave his first performance presenting his first disc, “Joan Chamorro presenta Joan Mar Sauqué”. He has now two discs to his name and comes now at L'Estartit with Quintessence, a programme which includes a selection of themes from the 1950s by jazz musicians of the calibre of Benny Golson, Miles Davis, Kenny Dorham, Gigi Gryce and Dizzy Gillespie, among others.
