Álvaro Mur was born in Ceuta, and after studying for a Master’s at the Liceu Conservatoire in Barcelona is continuing his studies with Josep Maria Colom. He won first prize at the 90th Juventudes Musicales de España Competition in 2018, and comes to the Fringe Festival at Torroella de Montgrí with a programme whose title is Introspection – a journey of discovery which includes some of the most emblematic and symbolic works in the piano repertoire.
